What is one idea you perviusly held about science fiction that has been challenged by what you've seen in class so far.

I never knew there was different types of SciFi stories such as the gadget stories like Ralph 124c 41+. When reading this story it was interesting seeing all the different types of gadgets he had made up being the 30's. The story would have been more interesting if the fight scene between Ralph and the martian had been included in the story. The story had alot of chemistry details in it that contained gases and other metals. I think that so far Sci Fi is very interesting and will become even more so.
ReplyDeletei was surprised how old science fiction really is. when you think of sci fi, the first thing that comes to mind is star wars and terminator. it was surprising how stories like ralph 124c41+ was written in like 1911. it was cool how relevant the scientific information was to today even though it was written so long ago.
